Breathing Diseases (Shwasam)

Causes:

• Increased Cough (Kasa)
• Dosha Vitiation
• Dysentery

Manifestation:

Obstruction of Vayu by Kapha leading to abnormal movement with vitiation. The vitiated vata with abnormal movements further vitiates prana, water and food pathways causing breathing diseases based in the chest, originating from the stomach/abdomen.
